The role Human Resources (HR) has traditionally been viewed through a narrow lens, primarily focused on administrative tasks and personnel management. Unfortunately, “personnel management” (the name of HR 1.0 back in the 1920s) is how we started and it was all about transactions: hire, fire and pay.

However, as the business landscape has dramatically evolved over the years, and particularly in the past two decades, there is a growing recognition of the strategic value that HR brings to the table. HR is no longer just a support function, but a business leader capable of creating immense amount of value for people and organizations.
