Description:
Our global technological manufacturing client is seeking a Manager, Human Resources to support their 215 employee 8 shift manufacturing facility. The HR Manager will provide day-to-day tactical, operational, and strategic HR support to this manufacturing facility in East Providence Rhode Island. This role will be a member of the site operations management team and be responsible for advising, influencing, and partnering with this team on a daily basis. The HR Manager will partner with corporate resources to deliver HR services to client groups, including talent acquisition, talent development, HR policy administration, HR related management training, employee relations, performance management activities, and other people-related activities. Additionally, the role will be responsible for partnering with on-site business leaders to drive employee engagement activities, to ensure adherence to company’s values and to foster a culture of inclusion.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Sr. Director of Human Resources in providing strategic HR support and guidance to the East Providence manufacturing facility.
- Partners with Corporate Human Resources and business leaders to drive the development of people leaders and employees in a variety of human resources areas including performance management, compensation, employee/team development, strategic human resources planning, employee relations, training, HR policies and practices, organizational structure, culture, conflict resolution, talent management, and other issues that may impact the work environment.
- Partners with on-site business leaders to drive employee engagement activities.
- Drive employee performance management at all levels. Ensure quality evaluations are developed and communicated to employees in a timely fashion. Works with people leaders to audit skills/essential abilities and recommends development/training plans, performance management, and/or discipline to address skill or role deficiencies or opportunities Coach leadership and managers through the merit review process to ensure proper differentiation of strong performers.
- Provide guidance, coaching and direction for a variety of HR and employee related activities such as EEO, FMLA, and Open-Door issues. Facilitate investigations and resolution of ongoing employee problems and concerns. Anticipate problems whenever possible and develop, recommend, and initiate appropriate steps for resolution.
- In accordance with corporate policies, plans and implements human resource policies, programs, and activities for the East Providence manufacturing facility.
- Regularly interfaces with employees on multiple shifts to answer questions, gauge pulse of the employees, communicate about programs and policies, and identify areas of opportunities.
- In conjunction with Talent Acquisition, drive recruitment and selection process for all on-site staffing needs.
- Partners and consults with functional management teams regarding business strategies and provides innovative approaches to solving business issues.
- Drive the introduction and partnerships of the company with local community leaders and resources.
- Follows state and federal requirements and corporate procedures for maintaining accurate employee records.
- In conjunction with Corporate HR, conducts training for managers on management practices and human resource topics.
- Reviews and recommends appropriate policies and programs specific to the client facilities.
- Works with Corporate HR team on assigned HR projects.
- Fosters a culture of inclusion among the workforce.

Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree and/or equivalent experience
- HR certification preferred (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP)
- 10+ years professional HR experience
- Experience partnering with senior business leaders.
- Knowledge of applicable employment laws and human resource practices including compensation, performance management, recruiting and selection, employee relations and HRIS.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations in a multi-shift, diverse, manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working in a multi shift manufacturing environment, very strongly preferred.
- Ability to balance multiple stakeholders and effectively support senior management, managers at all levels, and employees.

Onsite Requirement: 5 days per week onsite
Compensation: $130K to $145k base plus 15% bonus
