A Word From Our President, Dan Hill

These are difficult days. Uncertainty in business is tough enough but when that uncertainty also impacts the health of your family and loved ones, it’s almost too much to contemplate. Yet here we are, navigating uncharted waters on a daily basis, trying to keep our families safe and healthy all the while interpreting the financial impact this pandemic has had on us personally and professionally. It’s difficult to see silver-linings in these circumstances yet they do exist.

As much as every day seems to bring worse news, there are also inspirational stories of individuals and communities coming together in a variety of different ways. Such as ventilators being provided to one State from another, Doctors and Nurses performing miracles with limited resources, High School and College kids showing up for every shift in grocery stores, people finding creative ways to bring joy and love to those most in need and everyone isolating so that we can all get through this. It’s these unselfish acts that sustain us through our darkest times.

Having been at Willmott since 2001, I’ve worked through two recessions and 9/11. Each time it felt like this might be too tough to rebound from both for our business and our country. Yet each time we do rebound. We’re resilient. The recovery may take a while but it will happen and we’ll be back stronger than ever. We want to stay connected with you during these difficult times. Companies will begin to hire again but this is a great opportunity to connect with people you’ve been too busy to connect with. Right now there aren’t as many career opportunities out there but there are some. So stay active, stay connected, reach out and let’s prepare for when this virus is in the rear-view mirror. It’s always darkest before the dawn!
